Santa Claus in a helicopter as a pyramid is something very special. In the typical style of Graupner miniatures, the colorful tealight pyramid with its many details and unique implementation is the perfect Christmas decoration for children. The production by our experienced artisans is extremely demanding and requires a special touch. Details and figures are hand-painted.
Pyramids were already part of the Christmas decorations in churches in the Ore Mountains in the 18th century. The model was the special construction of the Göpelwerk. This is the name given to shaft conveyor systems in which the mined ore is extracted from the mine using horse or water power. Even today, the pyramids of the Ore Mountains (Ore Mountain dialect: “Peremett”) create a cozy atmosphere with their warm candlelight and their uniform movement. And they still fascinate children in particular with their small figures and colorful scenes. The designer Katrin Baumann, who lives in the Ore Mountains, has been supporting us in the development of our wooden miniatures for more than 20 years. Together, based on trust, we constantly develop new and detailed ideas that can inspire people to use our original Ore Mountain wood art® through colors and shapes.
